Growing up with a disability had many challenges and it’s not something you can prepare for. Very often me and my parents felt like we were in the dark, not knowing what the next best step would. Somewhere along the journey filled with successes, setbacks, ups and downs we realized how much we had experienced. We made a promise to ourselves and each other that we were going to take every opportunity to share our knowledge and experiences. When I was 17 I moved to L.A to study music in a very challenging drum program. I was one of three students that graduated from an initial class of 13. It was then that I started to realize that the hardships of my childhood were gifts in disguise that have shaped a specific mindset, perspective and attitude to life. I have made it my mission to share what life has taught me with others.
